Wiki is a website where we can edit and give information, that is according to I have read and learned during this week. Also, I learned that there are different types of wikis. Although some people can edit false information, I think it is a good method to teach or to learn in a class. As teachers, we can use it as a tool, so students can look up definitions, concepts, and activies in this kind of websites.
In my opinion and what I have learned during this week; WIKIS can be useful to us in a future, we could use it to look for any topic that we are going to explain, as I mentioned before.

ReplyDeleteYes, I kind of agree with you about what you said about false information; however, I believe there's a way to prevent it, as you can control who has access and who doesn't.
I like also when you say that students can look up definitios, as wikis can give them this opportunity.

we have to know how we are going to control the information that we will use because if you ask for your students that they have to post some information about any topic, you have to say that it does not have to be copied and pasted. because there are students that they do not read anything. and you have to be checking everyday your wiki
It offers the chance to students to think and reflect and at their time post their thoughts about any topic they might be seeing.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you. As you said, wiki could be used in a good way, but I think it depends on the people and how they use it and the sources they provide. As a future English teachers we must provide reliable sources to our students. Althoug wiki is not very famous, it could be a good tool to teach students. Am I right?
